What's new

Every change that gives you something new to do in the generator, the editor or the print window — newest first.

  1. New

    Free edits before you print

After generating a worksheet you go straight to the editor. Until you print it, different numbers, a different story or a different task cost nothing — up to three edits for every task — and so do numbers you type in yourself. After the first print, changes cost as before; printing again and changing the layout stay free.

  2. New

Choose how to pay: subscription or tokens

With an active subscription, the worksheet generator, the editor and the print window show “Pay with: subscription / tokens”, with what is left of your allowance and your token balance. Tokens keep the worksheet forever; the subscription keeps it editable while it lasts. The price on the button is binding: if it changes before you click, nothing is charged and you see the new price. In your account you set which option is selected to begin with.

  3. New

Billing history: what every token was spent on

Your account now shows one billing history for tokens and your subscription allowance: the date, the worksheet title with a link, what was done (generated, new numbers, task replaced, group B when printing) and whether it was paid with tokens, from the subscription or free. Filter by tokens or subscription and download it as a CSV file, for example to settle with your school.

  4. New

What's new: one page for every change

This page lists every change that gives you something new to do, newest first, with a link to try it. You can also follow it as an RSS feed; the link is in the footer of every page. Signed-in teachers see a “new” badge in the menu until they open it.

  5. New

Drill sheets: facts only, ascending order and a strategy hint

A drill sheet can now practise one fact family only (for example dividing by 5), list the tasks in ascending order and print a short hint on how to calculate above the tasks. Drill sheets have their own tab in My worksheets.

  6. New

Drill sheets: bare equations for quick practice

Besides worksheets with word problems you can generate a numbers-only drill sheet: up to 60 equations of one skill in a dense grid, with an answer key. It costs less than a worksheet with stories, and a few drill sheets a day are free.

  8. New

Print profiles and your own default print settings

Save the print settings you use most as named profiles (for example “Quiz” or “Test in groups”) and pick one with a single click. The print window opens with your own default settings.

  9. New

New print options: extra task, double-sided printing, your own footer

Add an extra task for fast finishers (outside the points total), print double-sided so every sheet starts on a new page, sign the sheet with your own footer line, add a grade or points box, shuffle the task order, and hide the title, section names or the site mark.

  10. Improved

Tests in up to four groups (A–D)

A test or quiz can now be printed in two, three or four groups: the same layout, different numbers, and in groups B–D the answer options of multiple-choice tasks in a different order. One shared answer key with a column per group, or a separate key for each group.

  11. New

    Subscription next to tokens

Besides tokens that never expire you can now pay for a month or a year of a Standard or Plus subscription and generate within its allowance. The subscription is paid upfront and does not renew by itself.

Open data: five free datasets about school maths in 10 countries

We published the data behind the generator under an open licence: curricula mapped to skills, notation conventions, the prerequisite graph, units and money, and skill names in 7 languages — each with a DOI and a ready citation.

  13. Improved

    A ready-made test from a curriculum unit

Pick a unit of the curriculum and get a test that mixes several of its skills. The generator shows how many skills the unit has, and one click draws a different set of them.

  14. Improved

New numbers: choose from suggestions or type your own

In the worksheet editor, “New numbers” now shows several sets proposed by the maths engine to choose from, and you can also type your own numbers — the engine checks them and solves the task again.

  15. Improved

Faster generation: tasks first, PDF when you print

Generating a worksheet now gives you the list of tasks within seconds, with a progress bar, and the PDF is made only when you print — so you can edit before anything is printed.
